Dan Sykes was born in Detroit in the late 80s, with a microphone hanging from his umbilical chord, and they couldnt disconnect him from it with the sharpest sword. He was raised in the comfortable suburbs of Saint Clair Shores by his grandparents and mother, a couple miles from the D, where he became quickly influenced by the 4 elements of hip hop, and started off on the turntables at the age of 4 years old! After hearing early songs from Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Nas, and 2Pac, Danny Sykes decided that he also wanted to be a lyrical wordsmith. After listening to Nas's "I Gave You Power," Danny decided to pick up the pen. He formed a crew called the Triple M Team, and after they split, he joined Nu Teztament with Wizdumb and Self Centered, releasing studio album "Feature Presentation," and the "Nu Shit" Mixtape. After getting into pharmacy school at Wayne State University, Danny was forced to put hip hop on hold, but now with 2 years of pharmacy school left and a little bit of downtime TEMPORARILY, Mr. Sykes is back, to rescue hip hop from all the weak bullshit heard on the radio. He is currently in the process of finishing up his solo mixtape "Vocal Box Music," which is aimed to release early to mid july, to REFINE the sounds of hip hop and help the D to get closer to the forefront of hip hop! Saint Clair Shores, Detroit, STAND UP!!!! It's time!
