Mixtape Shoutout - Week #1

Welcome to the first week of our brand new blog series "MIXTAPE SHOUT-OUT". Basically each week will co-sign three tapes we're currently listening to & approve of here at Sparkhop Records. These are non Sparkhop artists, musicians, emcee's we feel deserve a shout-out for their efforts! Just like us a lot of these mentions will be up & comers who are trying to accomplish big things! We support hip-hop just as much as we make hip-hop! So without further a due we present this weeks shout-out's!
QuESt - How Thoughtful
I feel like a lot of people still haven't heard of QuESt as of yet, which I feel is very unfortunate. After releasing "Distant Travels Into Soul Theory" a little over a year ago the emcee has gradually been gaining more & more attention, & much deserved if you ask me. Now with his latest tape "How Thoughtful" his hunger continues to show & you can't argue with the consistency. Well it follows a more traditional mixtape vibe than "Soul Theory" did, QuESt still shines track after track. A must download!

Danny Brown - Detroit State Of Mind 4
Showing some local love with this one, not only is Danny Brown sick with it throughout this entire tape, he brings a team of amazing producers such as Black Milk, Apollo Brown, & Danny! along with him! Fire from start to finish! Make sure you add this one to your collection! We've all been bumping this one lately!

Loch - The Last Flip
A former Detroit native, and current Atlanta resident. Loch has been making waves for some time now & this tape is no different. A more radio friendly tape than our previous two mentions he still is able to mesh a conscious vibe atop his catchiest ryhmes. It's the midwest meets the south and the outcome is great! Don't take our word for it, discover for yourself!
