Everything I've heard from the upcoming album from Murs & Fashawn has been been bringing back fond memories of when I first discovered MURS past group The Living Legends. Fashawn whose "Samsonite Man" back in 2010 proved to be one of my favorite songs that year. Regardless of the two emcees past one thing seems to be true at this point - combined these two play off each others concepts & both have the lyrical intergrity & know how to pull together powerful tracks like this video for the title track "This Generation feat. Adrian".
This Generation the album is available today at:Itunes

Here is the title track off Murs & Fashawn's upcoming album "This Generation" entirely produced by Beatnick & K-Salaam. The albumn drops September 25th.
What a combination when you have underground legend Murs team up with Fashawn for their upcoming album collaboration "This Generation" dropping on September 25th. Alternating flows & playing off each others bars all well traveling in a spaceship during "Slash Gordan"- this video has got me excited for this project & I feel like Murs is showcasing a new hunger with this one. Growing up listening to Living Legends & Murs solo career/Rhymesayers work this feels like a refreshing new angle musically & meshing greatly alongside Fashawn's lyricism.

Cali emcee Murs presents his music video for "Animal Style", the track comes off his latest project Love & Rockets Volume 1: The Transformation.
"Animal Style is a song I did for many reasons, the first was to be an advocate for people close to me who are out, and those who have yet to come out. It's also a love song, which is nothing new for me. But with this one I wanted to challenge the listener to ask themselves: Is the love shared by two people of the same gender, really that different than the love I have for my partner of the opposite sex? And finally, I just felt it was crucial for some of us in the hip hop community to speak up on the issues of teen suicide, bullying, and the overall anti-homosexual sentiment that exist within hip hop culture. I felt so strongly about these issues and this song that I had to do a video that would command some attention, even if it makes some viewers uncomfortable. Even if it came at the cost of my own comfort."
