Heres a young artist coming from Brampton, Ontario that goes by the name of The Flan with his new mixtape, For The Flans 2.
"The unique name comes from his full name "Derin Falana". Although he's quite new to the industry, his content, delivery and swagger would lead you to believe otherwise. The Brampton rapper began his campaign releasing a number of covers on a mixtape titled "For The Flans" over popular industry beats, some of which turned out better than the original artist. Covering everyone from Meek Mill and Drake to Justin Bieber and even One Direction, his versatility is definitely one characteristic that sets him apart from the ordinary rapper. In addition, he is probably the only if not one of the very few rappers that dance, and well too. He says his biggest dance inspirations are Michael Jackson and Chris Brown and he incorporates his moves in a few of his music videos. As he gears for the release of For The Flans 2, his follow up to For The Flans, he is currently working on a mixtape of original production titled "Fan Of The Flan". His witty punchlines and metaphors make his music an entertaining listen and he continues to stay consistent as he builds his fan base through Twitter (@theFlan_) and Facebook.
